The library is central to implementing, enriching and supporting the teaching and learning programs of the College. The library closely collaborates with teachers to plan, produce and teach curriculum units to encourage students to develop their independent learning and research skills. The library staff partners with educators to design learning strategies to meet the needs of individual students.
The library provides a wide range of relevant resources, services and technologies to satisfy the varied curriculum and recreational needs of its users. It also promotes and nurtures a reading culture and provides opportunities for users to engage in literature enrichment experiences.
The Susan Sullivan Library embraces the ever-expanding role of recreational reading and literature studies in students’ lives. To this end, the library is home to relaxing reading areas with enough comfortable sofas for a whole class to settle back with a good book. The library also houses a tiered presentation room for additional teaching spaces.
