Enrolment Information

Welcome to St Mary's College. We are proud to be a vibrant community of 700 students from Reception to Year 12. Here are the key details regarding enrolment:

  • Major Intake Years: Our Primary intake years are Reception, Year 5 and Year 7.
  • Term 3 Reception Intake: We also offer an intake for Term 3 Receptions for families seeking mid-year enrolment. This is available for children born between 1 May - 31 October.
  • Other Year Levels: Occasionally, there may be vacancies in other year levels. Contact the College Registrar to enquire about availability for your daughter.
  • Waiting List: In cases where there are no available places, your daughter will be placed on a waiting list.

If you would like to place an application for your daughter please complete the online application form via the Enrol Now link below.

Important Note: When applying for enrolment, please be aware that submitting an application does not guarantee a place at the College. A place will only be offered once the College confirms your child’s enrolment. If a place is offered and accepted, the terms outlined in the Application for Enrolment will form part of the Contract of Enrolment.

Enrolment FAQs

How early should I apply? Is there a cut-off date?

It is never too early to apply for your daughter's enrolment. We recommend submitting your application a minimum of 2 years before commencement to avoid being placed on a waiting list for your preferred year. Enrol now for Year 7, 2026, and 2027.

Can I change my application after I have lodged it?

If you have applied and wish to change your daughter’s start year to an earlier or later entry, please contact the school as soon as possible. We can then adjust the application accordingly.

When will my daughter be interviewed for enrolment?

  • Reception: Interviews take place up to 18 months before commencement.
  • Years 7: Interviews take place up to 24 months before commencement.
  • Other year levels: Enrolment interviews are offered up to 18 months before the commencement date.

What transition programs are offered to new students?

  • Reception Students: Several transition visits are offered before commencing, which range from an initial 1-hour visit with parents to a full day without parents in the current reception class. This helps students get to know their teacher, environment, and classmates.
  • Junior School (Year 1 - Year 6): A transition day is held for all students, featuring a variety of activities.
  • Year 7: Parents are invited to a Parent Information Evening, and students are offered two transition days the year before they commence.
